Live-Cultured Fermented Vegetable Class

Live-Cultured Fermented Vegetable Class
Do you want to enhance your immunity and improve digestion? Fermentation is the answer!
The process of lactic-acid fermentation actually increases vitamins, enzymes and beneficial bacteria naturally present in all foods.  Fermented foods build immunity, improves digestion and keeps you healthy.  Fermentation also decreases the sugar content of foods which is great for those watching their carbohydrate intake.

Join us for a demonstration, in which you can participate in, and taste samples.
Instructor, Charlotte Deibert (Salem Chapter Member and Chapter Fermenting Expert) will discuss the chemistry, flavor profile, health benefits plus demonstrate this traditional food preservation technique. There will be handouts and recipes for Sauerkraut, Sauerkraut relish, Dill pickle relish, Ginger Carrots, Kimchi, Catsup, and Cranberry salsa, plus you will be able to sample all of these fermented foods.    Fermentation is easy and fun and so delicious!
